Now I’m making this with women in mind but ig men can take what they want from this thread too. I have been wearing makeup for a while now (2+ years ) and I’ve learned a lot in that time so let’s get into it.
INTRODUCTION: What makeup can and cannot do
Now I’m sure most people who wear makeup regularly already know, but makeup cannot change your bone structure. I don’t know where these clueless moids got this idea from but it is incorrect nonetheless.
So, what CAN makeup do?
It can enhance the features that are already there and it can mask SOME facial flaws ( pimples, acne scars, uneven skin tone, under eye discoloration) aka things that aren’t structural issues. So, no makeup can’t fix any sort of recessions other than masking the appearance of recessed infras but it is a valuable skill for both men and women.
PART 1: THE EYES
Eye Makeup: Mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and fake lashes all can improve your eye area.
Step 1. Curl you lashes (don’t skip this it makes a difference)
Step 2. Apply mascara to your roots AND ends. If you only apply at the ends it won’t look as natural. Make sure to put some on your lower lashes too, especially if you have a long mid face as it can make it appear shorter.
Step 3. Optional, but I like putting on waterline eyeliner to add contrast.
Step 4. Optional, again but some simple eyeshadow applied to the outer crease can increase contrast and add dimension.
Step 5. You can fraud a better medial canthus using a medium dark brown eyeliner or brow pencil. You can also add some hilighter to your inner corner, again to create contrast.
PART 3: Product Recommendations
Mascara: I love the Telescopic mascara for length and lash separation and the Sky High for volume and thickness. I don’t recommend waterproof as it is hard to remove properly without damaging lashes.
Eyeliner: Doesn’t really matter the brand but I recommend a gel liner that won’t smudge. Don’t use a kohl liner.
Eyeshadow: Again brand doesn’t matter too much but stick with naturals and brown shades to create shadows.
Always remember to properly remove all eye makeup and makeup in general at the end of the day to avoid irritation or damage. Taking breaks also helps with preserving eye health.
This is only Part 1 and I will make more threads about how to makeup max other parts of the face soon. Good luck and I hope you got something out of this.
