in my opinion, bimax is life changing for both health reasons and aesthetics for people with moderate or worse recessions. For broke people with a mild recession, maybe not. Results will always vary case by case, and having a good surgeon is vital. it could vary from insane to relatively unnoticeable. bimax is chiefly a functional procedure for people who have difficulty chewing, swallowing, speaking, or are suffering from sleep apnea etc. and you should mainly be getting it for those reasons, aesthetics are just an added benefit. So yea, it is life changing, if you actually need it
I am a candidate due to medical reasons, yet I perceive the aesthetic benefit as a bigger reason to get bimax than to resolve my sleep apnea. I to this day still cope over my boneless face by blaming it on my recessed maxilla but now with some research & clarity I realized bimax isn’t necessarily going to change my appearance in the way that I’d hope, disregarding the health benefits, is it worth the pain and recovery
bimax isnt particularly painful, aside from swelling. the recovery is of course very serious. If you have the money and time for it, id say you should go for it, bimax 100% will change your face for the better by a lot if your maxilla is recessed. dont go in expecting a perfect jaw post-op, but its going to help a lot if you have a good surgeon
