as someone who's scenemo (scene n emo) it annoys me when people clam to be alt but have no idea what subculture they're apart of. there's not wrong with experimenting with different clothing styles once in a while, but if you dont know what the hell your style is then dont call yourself alt.
this especially applies to the people who use fast fashion to fit into these subcultures. very water take but they cannot be alt if they use/support fast fashion. stupid stupid stupid, i blame tiktok for normalizing this type of stuff even back then there were posers(90's-2010's) but it's even worse now

like i can't really get piercings, its very hard to find alt fashion as guy without just dressing like a girl, i don't have enuff freedom to go buy whatever i want.
