finasteride + minox (oral or topical) (how many mg?)

ive (20M) been using oral minox (2,25mg) (toxic for dogs and that stuff) and topical fin (2,275mg) for almost a year. I’ve booked an appointment with the derm and i was thinking about trying to up my doses to oral fin 5mg OR dut 0,5 (need to know what’s best) and 5mg oral minox. Is it worth it?
I know about the body hair side effect and don’t care. Plus i have virtually 0 side effects from the rest. Any tips?

I feel like my shedding has stopped a bit and i regrew some. I had used topical minox before and it had most definitely worked, so i know it’s not because the meds won’t work, i just feel like they’re not working as much as they should. I’d say maybe my crown thinning has progressed a bit whilst the front looks the same.
