What’s the point of having validation/attention from subhuman scum?

Do you keep them around for ego inflation? Safety net? Free attention? What exactly do you get out of it.

I’m not talking about random guys being interested in you. What I’m talking about is when you keep them around. When you intentionally let them orbit. When you know they want to sleep with you, but you keep them close anyway.
