My algorithms are always political and about current news. It's probably because it's the only thing I end up caring about but now-a-days I restrict that stuff to my news RSS feed.

If you mean his DOGE thing, it was a thing created by an executive order and not related to a cabinet-level agency. So it doesn't have to go through Congress. He's allowed to do it because the President said he could, pretty much.
