Just use the prompts to talk about your ECs and tie it into sum sort of skill/ learning experience

idk much abt the actual common app essay cuz i didnt have to do it
just avoid the common topics like a sports injury or travelling to a 3rd world country and learning abt empathy or smth stupid


honestly wouldnt stress too much, applications are mainly based on grades and extracurriculars

There is one major issue: I didn’t have a single extracurriculars. And despite maybe being one of the smartest kids in the school, my GPA isn’t spectacular due to unfortunate electives and lots of 88 and 89 percent grades. What should I do in this situatuon?

no ECs is kinda crazy, wtf is wrong with your guidance counselor
you have any skills/ hobbies you did outside of school? Like an instrument or a sports team u were on?

Rec letters also look really good, so ensure you have 1-2, esp in your case

Everybody exaggerates on their application, obviously dont go overboard

Volunteering also looks good, so make sure you add that
if you dont have any id start volunteering asap

A great personal statement need to be very good tho, recommendation letters and start
Creating an Extracurricular Spike if you can this should help

Unfortunately, I was never told extracurriculars matter for college apps. I found out through ChatGPT. I live in California and I’m pretty sure most of the schools I want to go to don’t accept or really care about rec letters. Although, I will exaggerate on my apps, thank you!

There’s nothing I did outside of school, not any of importance anyways. Is it possible I could lie and get away with it?

I still can’t believe it either, 3 years of high school and I found out ECs matter through ChatGPT. The only EC i can think of is that I lost 100 pounds over high school, could I do something with that you reckon?

Sorry for bombarding you with questions by the way, and I appreicate you for being patient and answering them 🙏

I had 3.0 gpa but i just couldn’t take it anymore and knew i was gonna do shit so i left

that can defo work, tie that into one of your prompts and talk about perseverance/ dedication
honestly you could make that your main essay, mentioning self acceptance and trying to find yourself, stuff of that nature

dont be too hard on yourself abt this

My gpa is shit as well, i don´t care, though. I study like 2h per week, if even that.

Need to lock in after summer, though. Have to do my bachelor thesis now in summer. Haven´t even started, rotting is just too chill.

I was studying everyday but I didn’t have a molecule of guidance I was so lost and the friends I knew in the first year were all losers too
 
not sure if this forum is the right place to ask about college 😂
 
sounds difficult to have to write applications. maybe u can fluff them up a bit or make stuff up if they don't double check
