this week were doing a pre-nca camp practice week and during warmups the rising senior girls were calling my trans friend on the team (who couldnt make it to practice today) slur after slur, mind you i am VERY close with her

so i obviously said something called them out for calling her racist and transphobic slurs, then this one girl had the AUDACITY to say "yk im right tho she is a t---"

what. the. fuck.

then i lost my shit and yelled at them, my coach broke it up and now I AM suspended from the team for a week and the other girls got in zero trouble

this is so fucking stupid im about to quit idgaf about college anymore

You did the right thing. People will hate you for doing the right thing but just know that you did it for the right reasons.

why don't you write an email to the administration?? like something along the lines of "i accept my suspension and i apologize for the way i reacted, but discrimination directed towards our fellow teammates and in general is unacceptable and breaks (insert rule in handbook whatever)" but obviously more detailed and blah blah blah
