Hypothesis Germ theory vs Terrain theory

never said its a trusted source, its just another view for ur thought
ye i wanted you to answer if you have a brain i dont mean it as an insult

you cant prove u have a brain

hust because YOU cant prove it doesnt mean its not there

Literally what Aajonus says, yet there still viruses since they don’t have a nucleus, they’re not alive a virus is not a complete cell. Can you answer me how smallpox got transmitted to the native Americans?
tbh, i dont stand by terrain theory or germ theory, i was just trying to look at it in a different view

Here’s the problem. It’s argued for example “other animals have bacteria that is supposedly harmful for us” but here’s the problem let’s use E. Coli for example. We have it in our gut flora and is undeniably one of the most important bacteria, but there are many strains that are harmless to cattle but harmful to humans such as O157:H7 which is the most common one. Other ones include O26,O103 etc. but it’s important to understand there isn’t only one strain of a single bacteria. This is why I believe in germ theory, many things simply don’t make sense with terrain theory.

Tbf calling it terrain theory is kind of a guise, it’s more so germ theory denialism

germ theory

microorganisms and pathogens cause diseases. its been demonstrated countless times through microscopy, Koch’s postulates, vaccines, etc etc. example: HIV causes aids, mycobacterium tuberculosis causes TB, SARS-CoV-2 causes covid 19.

the argument that disease come from imbalances in the body, and that germs are more like opportunists rather than primary causes make less sense to me. however, two people might be exposed to the same virus, but one gets very sick and the other doesnt. that does depend on your "terrain" but it doesnt get to the root of the problem. so yes, the host determines stuff like susceptibility and severity, but its pathogens that actually cause the disease.

False dichotomy, both play a part. Germ starts it and terrain either fuels or halts the disease progression.
