the hair in the first pic looks just like mine (2c) but its hard to deal with and i straighten it anyways. i dont know how perms work, but this kind of hair is so difficult

send me pics of how it looks though

I kinda wanna try this too. Do you need a specific haircare routine to keep them looking nice?

yeah for perms u cant straighten them very often. if u do it has to be on a super low heat setting, so id have to deal w that. i believe wavy/curly perms are easier to manage than naturally wavy/curly hair! still gonna be more difficult than my current hair though

are you worried about the damage?

from what ive read u do need to take care of it more than reg straight hair, but its not like those full curly hair routines ppl do. the drying method is different, its best to either air dry or use a diffuser. u also have to brush when its wet instead of dry and u need a basic curl cream. its not that hard to manage imo

I always get accused of having a perm because my hair used to be fried due to excessive hairspray use and I'd brush it down. 😟

not too worried! ive bleached my hair multiple times this year and thats much more damaging than a perm, so the damage wont be anything im not used to
