getting my hair changed soon

So I’ve seen people preach about keeping yr hair colour natural (or at least a natural shade) but I’m a brunette and its so sooooo boring especially since I was a blonde child. But I don’t wanna bleach my hair entirely so I’m thinking about getting highlights like these;

hopefully itll make my hair look lighter and I think it looks pretty natural (since its like my hair in the sun) but I need a 100% confirmation that this won’t sabotage anything before I go and do it
