theres a foam pit in the gymnastics area of my school gym, its deep as fuck for some reason, and one day while i was walking next to it some kids i know pushed me into a concealed pit they had made in the foam and then piled foam cubes ontop of me, and then sat on a gym mat ontop of all of this so i couldnt get out, i was basically buried alive for like 20 minutes until the gym teacher finally heard me and rescued me

new kid arrives
through a bunch of chance interactions I become friends with him
he builds a friend group with me and a few other loners
holy shit this may be the first friend group I've had in my life
the one weirdo who always impersonated cars for some reason in our group decides to bully me one day
I tell the teacher
teacher does not care
that weirdo makes the rest of my friend group bully me
I dreaded every single recess
they stole shit from me
they put stick notes with "kick me" written on my back and then kicked me
can't fight back because it would be a 1v4 or 1v5
I tried to reach out for help from my parents in and the teacher
both were unhelpful
the weirdo who initially betrayed me gets caught trying to pass a sticky note with some bad words to me in class
he gets detention
he's gone for a short while
the rest of the friend group starts warming up to me and say they want to be my friend
I naively say yes cuz I have literally nobody else
weirdo's detention is over
he comes back
friend group bullies me some more before before losing interest and disbanding
alone again


6th grade
another new kid comes
I befriend him
he also happens to befriend the new kid from 5th grade
turns out this new kid is an asshole too
starts telling lies to me and the new kid from 5th grade to reopen old wounds cause drama
I leave him as well


shit fucked with my development and understand of other people
and then lead to other issues with people snowballing down the road
I may be stuck in the past but if everything in 5th grade worked out, I think I would be a much happier person today
