how tall are you and how many cals do you eat typically? also are youa guy or gilr
im 176cm, a girl, and i typically eat 1500-2000 calories but often have weeks or days of 0-500

it might take like months then in my experience going from being underweight to eating in a surplus is EXTREMELY difficult esp if you odnt have a high appetite you have to slowly work up to eating more
 
that sucks im sorry no person should be denied food because of financial struggle

i'm around 110 rn i got as low as around 85 lbs at 5'5 when i was in the peak of my ed and i was hospitalized
my goal is 130 i'm trying to bulk to build muscle

a lot of my weight gain in recovery was protein shakes and liquid calories
gaining weight takes a long time and a lot of patience but its so worth it
i looked like literal shit when i was underweight i really love my body now that im healthier and the exercise is to reward her for putting up with me

i like ensure plus or honestly whatever they have at the grocery store
the fairlife chocolate one is my current go to its pretty good

it took around 6 months and it was extremely difficult but SO worth it i have never felt so comfortable in my body i genuinely feel pretty in the mirror now

if you dont mind me asking is your weight because of an ed or just financial?
I was starved as a kid by my parents and im finding it difficult to recover from those eating habits. Im scared to enter the kitchen and uncomfortable eating around others, etc.

yeah it seems like protein shakes and bars are prob your best bet but dont eat just based on calories
its rlly bad to just eat junk food obvi and snacks like that you need nutritional value

try yasso frozen greek yogurt the mint chip is SO good and pretty decent protein for calorie for ice cream
