Almost every friend or person I know didn't get a TV after moving out of their parents' house. Most see it as a useless item, "a laptop or phone can do the same" is the usual response.

But honestly, having a high-quality, big OLED TV or some just makes every show/movie way more fun to watch. Also, rotting in front of a TV screen is way more chill
