I heard someone describe men's aging as a steady/constant decline downward in appearance/youthfulness on a graph

Whereas women's youthfulness/appearance in this situation was instead the line being able to stay straight/not decline nearly as much as the men's, before plummeting downwards.

I'm not sure if i explained that well enough but essentially:

• Women are able to hold on to a 'youthful' appearance for longer than men. Making them seem to age slower.
• But once they lose said 'hold', they tend to lose that youthful appearance faster. Making it seem like they aged a lot in a short amount of time.

• Men's 'youthfulness' in terms of appearances, instead steadily decreases/leaves them at a consistent rate. They just age and age.
• They don't have much of a 'hold' on a youthful appearance as a lady might, but at the same time wouldn't have to deal with a quick loss in youthful appearances.
