I'm abroad in Western Europe (Italy to be exact) for a university exchange program, I tried to go clubbing with my friends but the music is utter garbage, the drinks are extremely expensive (taste like dogwater too) and italian girls as a whole be it northern or southern are generally unattractive. I left early as it was getting quite boring and went home instead.
Skip forward one week, I look into rave events, I look on instagram and I find this one event that has a set with happy hardcore and gabber music, perfect! I grab a few of my friends and go to the rave event without any issues, all smooth sailing
The rave event is quite cool, it is hosted in this one historical building and the music is actually good, unlike the shitty spanish and italian pop that plays at the normal club (like seriously, who listens to that shit). I dance with my friends there, the lights are well managed and the drinks aren't stupidly overpriced, people are dressed in everything ranging from really colorful to full goth.
For reference I'm quite twinkish due to the nordic-slavic genetic admixture, it is something people often point out by saying stuff like "You would look really good as a girl" and "You could wear girl clothing and pull it off without looking like a drag queen", I posted cosplays in here for people interested.
There is this one guy sitting that was looking at me the entire time, I would say he is in his early-mid 30s, norwooding a bit and clearly a millenial. He did not trigger the gaydar whatsoever. He later on approaches me and starts asking me stuff like where I am from, what I am doing here along with tips and tricks for living here like the best supermarkets to be at and such other things. He then starts getting a bit handsier with me and asks me if I have a partner, upon me saying no, he offers me some money (about 150 euro JFL) and talks about how "there is more that can come your way if you stay with me this night", as this is a textbook example of how someone gets drugged and violated, I obviously rejected and went back to my friends. Is this what foids experience when going at a club?
TLDR: Went to a rave upon seeing how boring clubbing is in Italy, got given IOIs by a guy who later approached me in a friendly manner and escalated it by getting handsier with me and offering me big sums of money if I stayed with him for the night.
