If a student in my class is sleeping I would just let them sleep

But that’s only when I’m not being observed, because when you’re being observed you’re not supposed to have anyone sleeping in class, since it’s considered “poor class management” and it could get you fired eventually I think

That’s pretty lame ngl, I’m currently not a licensed teacher yet but I think the right thing to do is to give warnings if you are gonna be against students playing games. But if you’re being singled out then that’s unfair on her part also. Either give warnings to everyone or no one. No singling out students.

Thank you bhaijaan. I mean, even my mentor teacher’s classroom management isn’t top-notch. What I mean by this is, yeah they’re doing a great job but the students still need behavioral corrections. And they’ve been dealing with that teacher for more than a semester now, whereas I’m completely new! The first thing my mentor teacher said is they’ll be introducing me as a colleague because they want me to receive the same respect they do. Lol.

Yeah precisely. In the first ever class I went to, one of the students asked me if I was a teacher. I said yes I was. At first, I was like oh shit that isn’t true… but then I thought, no wait it is true.. a teacher-in-training is still a teacher, except still unlicensed. So I feel like it’s fine to say it.
