Answer my question if you want but you're bloated like that, is it around your period moment ?

why do girls get bloated during period btw?
I have no idea...due hormones. We get very swollen and lots of us also gain a lot of period the week before. It is water retention and it goes away after it ends.

I'm "bloated" my self except I still don't look like a blob fish, you just have the facial characteristics of one
she’s noticeably more bloated in this pic, than her others.
bloat is real.

Women often experience bloating during their period due to hormonal changes in their menstrual cycle. Here's a simple breakdown:

1. **Hormone Fluctuations**:
- Before a period, levels of the hormones **estrogen** and **progesterone** drop. This can cause the body to retain more water, leading to a bloated feeling, especially in the abdomen.

2. **Digestive Slowing**:
- Progesterone (which peaks before the period) relaxes intestinal muscles, slowing digestion. This can cause gas buildup and a "stuffed" sensation.

3. **Uterus Preparation**:
- The uterus thickens its lining each month. If pregnancy doesn’t occur, this lining sheds as a period. The process can cause mild swelling or inflammation, adding to bloating.

4. **Dietary Factors**:
- Cravings for salty foods or carbs (common before periods) may increase water retention, worsening bloating.

**Good to Know**: This bloating is temporary and usually eases as the period starts or ends. Staying hydrated, eating balanced meals, and light exercise can help reduce discomfort. 🌸

I am pretty sure there must be ways to prevent it as celebs are never bloated but idk what ways
they eat super healthy meals made by their chefs, full of nutrients, and good electrolytes.
To never be bloated u don’t want to switch up ur foods too much. Like eating processed stuff or different stuff every time. Find out what foods give are best for u.

I rarely eat processed foods, and I can maintain my debloated look fairly easily now.

Honestly I wanted to fast but I can't because I will go home and my mom won't allow me to fast sadly.

Fasting is the worst thing you could do. Best to focus on eating less processed foods, and maybe start working out if you haven't already. Would be much better

Prob focus on eating less processed foods. And overall more potassium + less sodium.
Most processed foods have a bunch of sodium and and just bloat you, lots of useless stuff in it. Might even make your skin worse aswell.
Diet is an important looksmax. Ppl u see that look good almost effortlessly, don't eat pizzas and fried chicken every day lol. They eat it every once in a while.

I need to read more complex studies but due to hormonal changes during the periods, the gut microbiota and the kidneys work less, which can explain the water retention and blood thickness. At least this is what i've seen on my gf. I'm trying different things with her atm, i will write a topic about it one day
