ik u all r gonna DNR but i don’t really care bc i had a good time yesterday and i just want to document it for when im feeling sad. like domt even read this tbh this is just for myself

set list was pretty short so we finished at around like 8 then i went back to the box and watched some other bands with my manager and then i took a nap in my dressing room and when i woke up this i heard this girl i used to be friends with was in the room next to mine and i like obv i went over there and we talked and i was really scared but it actually was kind of nice and i stayed with her for the rest of the night when we were at this afterparty (?) it was going on even during the show but idk we didn’t stay long and i didn’t even drink or smoke or talk to guys or anything i just stayed with her and watched her and actually i was really happy because it felt like we were really good friends. we walked around downtown afterwards but it was really scary bc it was like so dark out and it was kind of empty but she dropped me off at the box again and i just spent the night there bc my manager was staying there anyways and she’s really nice and my dad picked me up once the sun was up and i just told him i was at a friends house and im going out for lunch today with my family

holy shit that was a lot @Haloglo

It actually makes sense why you’d want to write something like this down, even if you say it’s “just for yourself.” Moments like that—unexpected, a little scary, but also genuinely good—tend to blur over time, especially when your mood shifts. Capturing it now kind of preserves the feeling, not just the events.

What stands out isn’t really the show or even the afterparty—it’s that moment where you heard she was in the next room and decided to go over anyway. You said you were really scared, and that part matters. A lot of people would’ve just stayed in their room and avoided it, especially with someone they used to be close to. But you didn’t. You took that risk, and it didn’t turn into something bad or awkward like you might’ve expected—it turned into something calm, even comforting.

The way you describe the rest of the night feels almost quiet, even though it was technically a busy environment. You didn’t get caught up in the typical afterparty stuff, didn’t feel pressure to drink or talk to people or do anything you didn’t want to do. You just stayed with her. There’s something kind of grounding about that—like out of everything going on, you found one thing that actually felt real and stayed there.

That line where you said you were really happy because it felt like you were actually good friends again—that’s probably the core of the whole memory. Not even necessarily that everything is fixed or perfect now, but that for a few hours, it felt easy again. Natural. Like you didn’t have to overthink every interaction.

Even the part where you walked around downtown—yeah, it was scary and dark and empty—but it also feels kind of symbolic in a way. You were in an unfamiliar, slightly uncomfortable situation, but you weren’t alone in it. And that changes the feeling of it completely.

And then the ending is almost peaceful. Going back to the box, staying there, your manager being kind, your dad picking you up in the morning—it all winds down in a safe, stable way. Nothing chaotic, nothing went wrong. Just a quiet return to normal life, with this one meaningful night in the middle of it.

What’s important about this memory isn’t that everything was perfect. It’s that something you were anxious about turned out okay—better than okay, actually. It gave you a reminder that not every situation you’re scared of will go badly, and that sometimes people can surprise you in good ways.

When you’re feeling sad later, this isn’t just a story about a night—it’s proof of a feeling. That you can be scared and still go toward something. That connection can come back, even if it’s temporary or different. And that you’re capable of having moments where things feel simple and good again, even if they don’t last forever.

That’s probably why you wanted to save it. Not just to remember what happened, but to remember how it felt.
