this is genuinely the stupidest article ive ever seen
while eating enough protien your body recovers around every other day(unless ur doing like 4+ sets but thats retarded)
so you want to exersize those muscles as much as you can which means you want to exersize them about every other day
i dont see the point of a chest or back day either
chest is 1-2 exersizes
and back is 2-3
objectively a split that lets you hit a muscle every other day is better in all regards unless your blasting steroids

Bro your genuinely stupid, you can’t say a split is better or worse “objectively” because there are many other factors such as diet, genetics, and supplements.

So taking that one into account, bro is better because recovery days aren’t necessary. Meaning you get more muscle microtears. You also limit the risk of injury since you’re only working out one muscle per day.

Another big factor is you can add more reps and sets since your only working out one muscle group.

Technically if we’re talking about muscle growth then protein synthesis is the most important because it’s what actually builds muscle

obv we should focus on supporting protien synthesis but what you do at the gym is recruiting motor units and then what comes after culminates it

and either way the risk of injury for an upper lower split is honestly less then bro split
doing more sets per muscle means higher chance of injury as it gets weaker
and doing more then three sets per muscle group is js stupid so ur almost never gonna injure urself on upperlower/fbeod unless ur doing a lift w bad form

Ok either way the mur vs protein synthesis is stupid, like debating if the egg is better then the chicken.

Anyways, the risk of injury in the bro split is way less then upper lower split because you are doing less sets and reps per muscle group during the upper lower, this means your doing higher weights (and that obviously leads to a bigger risk of injury)

With the bro split you have the freedom for higher volume
