SKINTONE VS UNDERTONE
Skin tone is the surface colour of your skin which can be characterised as light, medium, tan, deep.
Now, your undertone is the hue beneath the skin. It comes in three types:
  • Cool (pink, red, or bluish)
  • Warm (yellow, peachy, golden)
  • Neutral (a mix of both)
  • Olive (green-grey or golden base)

HOW TO FIND YOUR UNDERTONE:
IMG_5814.jpeg

Vein Test:

  • Blue/purple - cool toned
  • Green - warm toned
  • Neutral - usually a mix of both
So this will mean cool toned hair for cool undertones and vice versa. If you have a neutral undertone, it might lean towards cool/warm so pick accordingly.

HAIR COLOUR CATEGORIES:
The best shades for each undertone are ~

I. Black Hair
  • Cool — Blue-Black
  • Neutral — Natural Black
  • Warm — Soft Black
II. Brown Hair
  • Cool — Ash Brown
  • Warm — Golden Brown
  • Neutral — Chocolate Brown
III. Blonde Hair
  • Cool — Platinum Blonde
  • Warm — Honey Blonde
  • Neutral — Beige Blonde

IIII. Red Hair
  • Cool — Burgundy
  • Warm — Copper
  • Neutral — Auburn
