Maybe im projecting my own circumstances onto other homeless, but the false dichotomy of homeless = bad, house dweller = good really grinds my gears

"hobos are addicts"
so are most house dwellers

"They don't contribute to the economy"
Most people r useless and the economy is fake

"They litter and camp in public spaces"
ever walk along a highway and notice how much trash there is? That came from house dwellers driving cars


The only thing hobos are guilty of is being retarded and lazy. And lets face it, there are plenty of lazy/retarded house dwellers who have never added value to society

people hate hobos bc it shows them how much they have to lose. they know if people end up on the street all government and social nets have utterly failed which makes them lose faith in the institution.

they’d rather resent hobos so they don’t have to confront the fact that this isn’t supposed to happen snd it can happen to them too with a few unlucky events.
