my friend likes to write down things she wants to talk about in her notes first so if convo dies down she can just bring it up
just make sure you bring it up in a casual way be like “oh i forgot to tell you …”

literally just distract urself as much as humanly possible
sounds stupid but practice talking abt smth u like in the mirror makes talking whilst looking at someone feel a little less unnatural
