How can I make female friends even tho I am fat?

(Sorry for writing it like this, I hope you can understand what I am trying to say)

Ive hit up a convo with this quite popular girl in my town and we talked for a bit and I ended the convo in advance to avoid the text being dry. I do not know anyone in my town because I went to a different school than in my hometown. She told me she’ll be watching out for me if she managers to run into me, but I have this shitty self-esteem from being fat that I do not want to run into her because I am fat. What should I do?
Obviously, lose the weight, but what after that?

I do not know if she wants to be friends. I sent her my photo and she told me to wave at her if we meet some day

Just put yourself out there. It's very very rare someone's not gonna talk to you because you're fat. It's genuinely just in your head and I've been there before

Most people are that weight. She probably won't look at you any different than anyone else. Build up the confidence to start one conversation and I'm sure you'll find the rest easier
