How can people wear clothes at home

I assume it's mainly a culture thing or that they live with other people.

In my experience when I put on clothes I don't have a tendency to take them off the second I get home and will just lounge in them for a while.

Because it’s cold n***a

I have to be fully dressed or else I'll feel very uncomfortable but at night I'll just wear a tank top and panties

I live in an Islamic household and we only wear clothes that are appropriate. I wasn’t always like that, though. I remember my mother’s friends would often come over and I would show up wearing nothing but boxers.

My mother always said to wear some appropriate clothes and I said “Why? It’s my house. I can wear what I want.” It was only later that I realized it is not so much social etiquette but rather religiously-motivated that I’m supposed to cover myself up rather than for “not offending others.”
