Serious How come English ppl say ice berg and not ice mountain?

Germanic European languages like German and Dutch it makes sense since Eisberg literally means ice mountain or in Dutch apperantly ijs berg

But then berg doesn’t mean mountain in English yet it’s still ice berg for some reason tho idk if berg is used in English for another purpose
