Yes, looks like it came from his front right and hit his cheek with the left side of the ball (first impact and fastest causing the cut and also softer skin I guess) then the front of the ball hit his eye and the right side of the ball hit his nose

could have been prevented with a helmet tbh

I remember a few years ago we had this cricket net session with all kinds of mixed age groups (was some thing at the boarding school) and some 18 year old guy was facing the bowling machine and slogged the ball hitting some 10 year right in the chest lmao it looked so painful

Yeah it’s not super common but does happen occasionally I used to play when I was younger

Only wk and batters wear helmets it would be a hindrance to the rest and not worth it for the rarity of it

Not perfect either, Phillip Hughes died even though he had a helmet

They made us play at my school and I will just say that fielding at anywhere within the square is TERRIFYING

The actual batting isnt too bad because you have all the pads but it really hurts when a ball clips the side of your leg lol

getting put like fine leg or square leg sucks for sure
