What worked for me during high school was the basics, study the theory and solve a ton of questions

start solving the remained unsolved hilbert's problems and win a prize or award or something

For me I just force myself to study for a certain number of hours. Usually on weekends I force myself to study for 3 hours, but I let myself take breaks In between. But thats just what works for me
