How do i mew with a severe underbite?

I have a severe underbite and crossbite, hopefully nhs will fix or aid towards helping remove it with braces. In the meantime, how will i go about mewing, i have been mewing with my mouth slightly open (back teeth not touching) for a while. However, i recently read that back teeth need to touch in order to mew properly. Is that true?

Hi, I also have a crossbite and to be able to mewing I had to have my teeth slightly open without touching, this is a problem due to crossbite or overbite, I recommend that you do not continue doing it since you can end up with asymmetries, you could continue after you get your bite fixed with dental braces.

Unfortunately I had two extractions (upper premolars) recently for braces, i heard it changes face shape and results in a sunken face
