How do I stop being a jester

Ever since I was young I’ve always made a fool of myself for attention I don’t know if it’s cus I have adhd and used to be really anxious but now it’s getting to a point where people will just make fun of me when I’m trying to be serious. It feels like when I try to stop jestering people still just see me as some kid who they can use for their own entertainment . I also don’t think I’m some subhuman so

talk more slowly and in statements, not punchlines. and u have to learn how to not joke 'upwards.' like don't clown w/ someone that has higher leverage than u and they don't respect u. otherwise ur basically just polishing their throne.

best tip is probably use silence. ppl are scared of silence. be comfortable with it, or larp confidence with it. if u use it well enough it looks like control and is intimidating. and stop jestering w/ everyone, only joke with people who see u as solid, or else you'll always just be seen as the jester in other's minds.
