Serious How do I use conditioner

so im gonna buy confitioner for the first time my family doesnt use conditioner only shampoo so how do i go about using it help me out

shampoo twice and then just like lay the shampoo in the body of your hair NOT your scalp and let it sit for like a few mins before you wash it out

i mean if youre a guy i cant really say but i usually leave it for however long it takes me to shave
so i do first shampoo while i do my first wash approx 3 mins
second shampoo while i exfoliate approx in for 7 minutes
conditioner in while i shave, wash, put all my shower products so like maybe 15-20 mins
but if youre not shaving which takes up most of the time you could do like less than 10 mins probably
