im writing this bc im 6’0 and thinking about getting into basketball or another sport bc everybody around me says i should use my height for an advantage and i also don’t want to just sit behind a screen all day. academically i’m doing fine (around a 3.7–3.8 gpa) and i do some volunteering, but i feel like im missing extracurriculars for college applications so i feel like doing a sport would be good for that


im really just trying to talentmaxx in other ways. i know multiple languages: english (main language), russian (2nd language, i can read, speak, and understand a lot of stuff), uzbek (1st language, very horrible at it), arabic (i can read fluently and somewhat speak and understand), and latin (im learning this at school). i can draw well and i sometimes make music (once in a blue moon). also speaking about music i have a piano and i tried learning online but i gave up a long time ago. i still feel like i’m not really doing anything with my time.


i don’t really have experience in basketball or any sport except for taekwondo but i had to quit bc of covid and all my experience is gone. i feel like its too late to start sports for me cuz im socially anxious and i get nervous doing activities around other people, especially if im bad at something, just makes me feel really vulnerable. the main question i have is how do i start getting into a sport at this point my friend is going to this basketball evaluation on saturday at this park and i was thinking i should go too.

I live in a third-world country, so I don't know if my input helps, but if you're aiming for cognitivemaxxing or reputationmaxxing, sports or lifting are almost mandatory. Besides boosting peer group grades by 11% (leveraging your GPA), it improves your charisma, socialization, and adds material to your resume. If you still can't interact with people, consider researching nootropics or seeing a therapist.
