If I make fun of someone I feel nothing. However, people feel "bad" after making fun of someone. Why? What's that going to do?

Agreed, for some reason i was always feeling bad and empathetic&kind even to people who don't deserve, but i discovered they see this as a weakness and start taking advantage of you so i became a bit heartless and decided to fuck it (still have some empathy tho i wish i was 100% heartless)
