Hello everyone.

I'm looking for advice from people who have experience managing glaucoma or supporting someone who does. I was recently diagnosed and feel overwhelmed by treatment options, long term monitoring, and how to choose the right doctor.

I want to understand what qualifications matter most, what questions to ask during appointments, and how often follow ups are typically needed.

At this stage, finding a trusted glaucoma specialist feels critical to protecting my vision and peace of mind.

How did you select yours, and what signs told you they were the right fit? Any insights from patients would really help me decide.

thanks in advance for any help

Instead of choosing a general ophthalmologist, opt for a physician with advanced specialization in this field
