I mean, I don't have any experience myself so I can't argue against yours, but it would seem likely that those girls didn't genuinely like you the way you thought they liked you. I guess the culture one belongs to is also important. The whole "keeping things spicy" for fear of "getting bored" or "losing feelings" is non-existent in Islamic cultures. Now from a western culture perspective, you're probably right (though exceptions always exist) and from an Islamic culture perspective, I'm probably right (though exceptions always exist).
