if you don’t know what i uti is OH MY GOD

• UTI = Urinary Tract Infection

• It’s an infection caused by bacteria in the urinary system
• The urinary tract includes:
  • bladder
  • urethra (the tube you pee out of)
  • kidneys
• Most UTIs happen when bacteria get into the urethra and travel to the bladder
• Common symptoms:
  • burning or pain when peeing
  • needing to pee very often
  • feeling like you have to pee even when little comes out
  • cloudy or strong-smelling pee
  • lower stomach / pelvic pain
• If it spreads to the kidneys, it can become more serious and cause:
  • back pain
  • fever
  • nausea
• UTIs are common, especially in people with vaginas
• They are usually treated with antibiotics from a doctor
• Drinking water and peeing regularly helps flush bacteria out

UTI → Sepsis (how it happens)
• A UTI starts as bacteria in the urinary tract (usually the bladder)
• If the infection isn’t treated, the bacteria can travel up to the kidneys
• When the kidneys get infected, it’s called a kidney infection (pyelonephritis)
• From the kidneys, the bacteria can enter the bloodstream
• When bacteria spread through the blood, the body can go into an extreme immune response called sepsis

I don’t think it’s a UTI because the only symptom I have is feeling like I need to pee, and little to nothing coming out. Other than that, everything else is fine. Also, the sensation is starting to fade away now.

urgency is one of the big symptoms you can be completely asymptomatic too.

Ok so I’ll wait to see if it goes away, and if it’s still here by the end of the day — I’ll go to the Dr. In the morning.

Okay, so how do I know whether I need to actually pee or it’s just the sensation I’ve been feeling. Cause I feel like I need to pee rn

it’s likely urgency which is telling me you have a uti, you’d not have any other reason to feel that.

but you just have to go every hour realistically empty everything drink water too lots
