Connection, it's the word that we are told holds our society together. But what if I told you that
the thing we are taught to be scared of (isolation), is actually the hidden forge where great human progress is made. Such as the scientific revolution, Isaac newton made his theories in great isolation. Literary masterpieces like Frankenstein. Philosophical foundations that René Descartes developed, such as the cogito. René was spending a day in isolation in a poêle. Technological and existential breakthroughs that Nikola Tesla developed.
Theme of the thread
For elite performance in any field you have to have periods of intense isolation it is non negotiable.
For you to go into your flow state you have to be free from socially distracting situations and toxic people.
People these days are toxic, have no goals, no self respect, and are generally not good people. Having those people around you makes it harder to tap in and lock in with your looksmaxing regime especially when your friends always put you down.
When in a burn out phase a short period of isolation is essentially to get up and feel alive again. Letting you emotionally regulate and relax.
