People have always complained about looking at a selfie of them where they "looked good", then after a while they realise it looks ugly asl.
What people don't realise is that the mirror can do the same thing.
Many people in the LM manosphere keep checking their face day and night, whenever they wake up, before they go to bed and whenever they see their reflection they check themselves out too.
That can trigger a phenomena in your brain called perceptual bias. repeatedly inspecting your appearance makes your attention increasingly focused on tiny imperfections that you - AND OTHER PEOPLE - would normally ignore.
Keep reflection usage at the minimal. That means:
Only use it for basic tasks like hygiene (shaving your beard/hair and brushing your teeth), getting dressed and etc.
Cameras will distort your face no matter what, especially phone cameras; as humans view faces with 2 lenses (your 2 eyeballs) and cameras view them with 1 lens. So don't use that as a basis either I suggest only opening your camera when you wanna take a picture of something or you're at a social gathering and you wanna take a selfie.
About selfies don't look at them for too long just take a selfie with your friends and keep it as a memory no need to keep checking yourself. After a month you can look at them and realize that you look normal in your selfies (not as good as you look irl but not deformed as you'd think if you kept checking it).
