Yeah can’t be too far down Jfl luckily my grandpa went to Brazil right after WW2 apperantly he was afraid there would be a 3rd war in Europe so he went on a boat to Canada but took the wrong one and ended up in Brazil

understandable, i have friends from Uruguay similar story their parents emigrated from italy due to the war they wanted to go to america but got stuck. so they just made their life there. but not my great great grandfather came here to make artilery pieces and then my great grandfather was a military oficcer and such
