I am 17 F and I'm turning 18 soon (August 13th) When I was younger I didn't question this because it only seemed fair and lots of my peers had it as well but my parents still have my screentime on from 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on week days and 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekends. I've asked them if we could turn it off not too long ago and they brung up the fact I'm still a teenager even though I'm turning 18 soon. I tried saying maybe we could just decrease how much time I can spend on it and they only seemed to start to become frustrated. At this point I brought up the fact kids even younger than me don't have screentime and they brought up that my siblings also had screentime at my age, which I don't see how that their proves their point but I guess I'm curious on how to either bypass this or if there's something I could say to change their minds.

this ain't the worst thing that's happened, when I went on my first date my dad came with us and I wasn't told he would be until I asked why he hadn't gone back home yet 😭
