And writing on a paper all the red flags she/he had, to burst your bubble

And then accepting it will takes weeks, if not months, to move on

And meeting new people, better people
 
Reason as to why you are attached to something and if it is illogical then that will help, if it is justified there is nothing wrong in still being attached to it, it will soften up with time.
