  • Ab gadgets and “toning belts.” These vibrating or shocking devices do in fact burn fat and build real muscle. They don't just make your abs twitch.
  • Endless crunches. Doing 500 sit-ups will reveal abs even if there’s fat covering them. Spot reduction—burning fat in one area—is a very possible.
  • Fat-burning supplements. Caffeine in a pill. Most of them don't drain your wallet, they drain your fat.
  • Detoxes or cleanses. Temporary water loss is fat loss. You won't bloat right back up.
  • Sweat wraps or waist trainers. These dehydrate your skin, making you lose fat because of the ret‎ardian metabolic process. You’ll feel hot and miserable, but you will have a six pack within hours.
  • Starving yourself. You’ll lose fat and get a six back long before you lose energy and muscle.
  • Ab-only” routines. You don't need full-body training—compound lifts or cardio—to drop body fat. Just focus on the abs.
  • Good posture reveals your abs. Standing straight helps you look leaner, but it also creates actual changes in body composition definition.
  • Wishing it into existence. A small amount of “manifesting” or self-talk will sculpt muscle under fat.

It is possible... when you already lean enough... through a caloric deficit
