How to get rid of dry hair?

Silly question, but you're shampooing and conditioning your hair separately, correct? You shouldn't use the 3-in1 kind of bottles.

If you've tried everything, then it might be your water quality. I would suggest getting a water filter for your shower head. If that's not helping it, try to wash your hair with like filtered bottle of water (you go to a store and get like a gallon) or in a different shower and see if that made any differences. If it does, it's your water, if it doesn't, then it's something else.

It's possible you're over washing it as well.

I'm just using shampoo rn tbh, but I've used conditioner, hair masks, shampoos, coconut & argan oil for 2 years but it didn't do shit tbh, I stopped like a few months ago, gave it up to fix them

Gotta try the water quality thing, but I was in so many countries for 2-3 months sometimes at once and it really didn't make much difference, carrying a whole ahh filter through the airport will be cringe, need to try it with water from the store hahaha

It could be a health issue, like maybe you're not eating enough or it could be a thyroid issue.

But when you try and think about it, what is 'dry' hair? It's normally the absence of sebum on the scalp. Here's a thread about the science of sebum if you're curious, but in your case it's either not producing enough or you're stripping it away too much or too harshly.

You should use a conditioner, even if it doesn't really work, because a shampoo just strips 100% of it away 100% of the time, and stripping 100% of it away and adding at least 50% more moisture back to your hair is just objectively a better thing for your hair, even if it doesn't feel like the differences is that noticeable.

In my opinion working on my water quality helped my skin and scalp, so I would focus on that and see if it helps at all. If it doesn't, if you haven't already, I would talk to a doctor.

Can't be I think, I checked my thyroid and everything else in Thailand like 4 months ago and it was fine, but gotta do it in some European country again maybe.

Maybe I should really talk to a dermatologist, I've like psoriasis too maybe that has something to do with it, didn't think about that before you mentioned that tbh

I'll buy a conditioner on top then tomorrow, I didn't know that it is that bad to not use one jfl because I didn't use one for my whole life, first time I started using it when I tried to fix my hair.

And I'll definitely try the water thing, I'll buy a conditioner tomorrow and the water too and try it, thank you a lot
