Don't worry bro my skin was peeling off my face when I used it now It's fine and I'm switching to tarazotene which is like an upgraded tret

Wtf sis people use 0.1% or 0.05% not 0.5% holy moly

I didn't have any scars I just had slightly dull skin with damage from shaving, yes it made my skin more mogger but I feel as my skin got used to it, if you can switch to tarazotene

Try to lower the frequency of use ( 1x a week ) and moisturize heavily after all over face (even the spots you didn't use tretnion on) and focus on moisturizing around the eyes

yeah get a ss with uva and uvb and spf 50+

The best is a safety razor with a shaving brush and cream
Yes safety razors are mogger, they don't shave as close though but are good at shaving down medium stubble, I'm just too lazy to buy more double edged blades

I had the same thing too, skin peeling and sometimes a burning sensation

I ended up applying it EOD, only a pea sized amount. Make sure you use a moisturizer and facial cleanser that isn't harsh. My go to is LRP effaclar or CeraVe for oil control both worked fine and the main active is just salicylic acid.

The whole skin peeling thing went away after a month and I ended up with really nice and smooth skin.

this gives me hope thenn, yes the most annoying is the burning sensation.

im using la roche’s cicaplast baume b5 for moisturizer but it leaves my skin a bit oily when i do make up so i think i will change for something with oil control components thank youu

results after only a month are very impressive i hope i get them too

It’s funny how u sound even more disappointed throughout the thread haha
Because i'm a top member in a wetshaving forum and reading about people shaving with shitty razors give me blood pressure

Normally the concern is not the type (like safety razor vs not), it's how many blades. I use 5 blade razors that are safety and it works great for my face.

@TonyDr Unless Tony disagrees with what I said above ^ Counting he seems to be more of an expert than I am.

Mods if you don’t give this kid MOTM I’m crashing out
aguachento currently has my vote.

5 blades can cause more razor bumps and shit than one blade only, one blades are closer too but have a more risk to cut yourself

I guess thats true, at least for your face. Have you tried an eyebrow razor then?

Edit: I notice I cut myself less with an eyebrow razor as well for my jaw/etc

I started traditional wetshaving in 2019. I use safety razors, straight razors, alongside shaving soaps & brushes etc
It's not how many blades, it's one blade who's sharp enough to cut comfortable, and the edge being able to last 2 or 3 shaves

If you're satisfied with the 5-blades cartridges, good for you but i'm NOT spending ~30euros for a pack of 8 cartridges lmao
