first of all
don’t share any social media that has your face on it to random people
yes here too
people can legit copy paste your face into reverse google search and find your exact location

USE A VPN use a fucking vpn
i got a opsec guide on that check it out
opsec guide (click)
dont download shit especially .exe files from ANYBODY this goes for every website
go to https://www.virustotal.com/ but even if the file turns out safe still be suspicous of the file and what permissions you give it

dont click on suspicous links links can look the exact same yes even on discord
there used to be a phising scam on discord to where people steal your account by clicking on a link — an embedded link that looks the exact same as the real link — and people trusting it would go in and put in their information

PHOTOS YOU SHARE
YES THEY CAN LEAK DATA AND LOCATION DATA TOO
use a metadata cleaner especially if you post it on discord, or here on the forums
https://metacleaner.com/

DATA LEAKS and why you should hide your email
emails can be included in dataleaks which are your account and those websites can store your location
this includes phonenumbers and names

additional quick tips (same scheme):

  • two-factor: enable 2FA (authenticator or hardware key) on every account that supports it.
  • unique passwords: use a password manager and unique passwords for every site.
  • username hygiene: don’t reuse the same username across sensitive and public accounts.
  • limit public info: remove/privatize old posts that reveal personal details (schools, workplace, address).
  • backup plan: if you get doxxed, save evidence, lock accounts, contact platform support, and consider reporting threats to law enforcement.
stay safe and don’t be lazy with opsec

also dont fucking fall for ip grabbers even if you do just fucking unplug and plug back in your router it changes the IP
