1. The culture.
Imitate your colleagues in those aspects:
A.
How people talk to each other?
B.
How people interact?
C.
Are they in the office or at home?
D.
How they dress?
Attention: do not try to change the corporate culture.

------------

2. Set and maintain a friendship relationship with your boss.

You can choose to not flatter your boss, but you need to be friends with him.

A lot of it is up to you. You can't change your boss. Assure your boss that you know what your box is and that you are inside that box.

Tell him something like:
" You know, I am really excited in being here, this is great, this is awesome. I am competent, I know what I am gonna be doing. Let's align what we are gonna be accomplishing together in these X days." And then make it so that the boss don't need to look after you because you are part of the team doing your thing so no needs for him to worry about you.

Do NEVER, EVER, add something adding information to your boss speech (inside nor outside a reunion). Do never ever do anything other then accept it as it was spoken.

------------

3. Set a positive, not political and not aggressive, interactions with your coworkers / colleagues.

About your colleagues, you want to identify the politics and don't take any side at all. Get to know people, build that network, be in good terms with everybody.

You don't want to tell people that they are idiots by correcting their mistakes.

Do never say that they or anyone else is not doing a good job, nor that anyone who as ever been there did a bad job, so never NEVER EVER be negative about someone or something, even if they aren't there anymore.

Do NOT complain about anything nor correct anyone nor do anyones job.

-------------

4. Do a great job. Specially for the first 90 days.
Nail it, do a fantastic job on what you are to do.

So you will be pretty busy putting a lot of effort BUT MAKE IT LOOK EFFORTLESS. You want to work a lot but do not make it apear that your are underworking and neither overworking!

So you have to look effortlessly competent.

If someone call for your help, you can just say "I have all those things to do already".

Focus exclusively on your box, do never ever go beyond your theoretical work function.
