You read the title, you know what we are talking about. To start, some things to know before i talk about it.
0. MUST UNDERSTAND
Vocabulary is short for this one nd = neurodivergent, nt = neurotyipical, what those two words mean are, nd - your brain processes, learns, or behaves differently than the societal standards which is nt. There are different levels of neurodivergentcy from a slight case of ADHD to a case that has autism and dyslexia, knowing this you have to understand that it may be harder to be loved at your school depending how much neurodivergentcy you have. This guide wont have any studies on it, mostly cause im too lazy, but also because we will just use simple human psychology and resources to our advantage, now lets begin.
1. EASY THINGS TO DO
I didn't really know what to call this section, other tactics i will talk about take more time or more acting so i will sperate from easy and hard.
1.1 GUM IS YOUR GOD, USE IT
We all understand how in highschool our classmates love gum, but if you go out your way to give some and your not above mtn, sorry but you will be seen as a creep. Instead in class pull out a pack and make it obvious, if ANYONE asks for a piece say yes, never say no, you only have to do it like twice before they start loving you. USE GUM
1.2 WHAT TO DO FOR SMOKERS
Obviously its highschool there will be lots of smokers, im going to tell you now, you will get caught, you will stunt your growth, and you will have mood swings, all of this for in return a few friends. With this you need to know DO NOT SMOKE even if its friends earned quickly its not worth it, but now WHAT TO DO, if anyone offers say no or tell them you've quit, both of these a real smoker would show respect to, not hate you for, unless jealous but you get my point. If someone has a vape or a cart on them NEVER SNITCH this should be clear to say but just in case. Finally, dont raise attention to anyone with one, dont talk about it, and joke about it, if you are silent about it they will thank you.
1.3 DONT ANSWER QUESTIONS IN CLASS
If your htn be my guest, but unless its forced upon you DO NOT ANSWER, dont raise your hand, dont speak to fast, dont say to much, dont raise attention to you in general, you may not gain friends but atleast you dont gain enemies or targets.
1.4 GROUP PROJECTS
Do a good amount of work, dont complain, and understand what ever the topic is, the more you understand the more in charge you can be and the more you can create small talk and all that good stuff. Form questions to make them talk about their selves and not talk about you, people love talking about themselves, USE THIS
1.5 CHOOSE YOUR STYLE
Either wear clothes that are less noticeable to not get made fun of or to show you dont really care, or wear what you want and be yourself with a bit of backlash, or mix it just wear stuff that is you but not over the top.
NOW LETS GET TO THE GOOD STUFF
2. HARD THING TO DO
These methods are all ones that take a slight understanding of how people work, validation, acceptance, and connections run high school, USE THESE TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.
2.1 MASKING
To mask you firstly need 3 things, the observation seeing what people do to be accepted, the reason why they do it to goes down to there core go home and research it to understand why, then finally the execution, either make sure that person sees it so they understand you are the same, or do it to them directly
2.2 RELATIONSHIPS
Sorry to all of those out there that wanted teenage love, you wont get it unless ur htn or htb (while making this post i kinda forgot girls are on this forum too, sorry) and this is why, IT CREATES ENEMIES FOR NO REASON, the person you date will break up with you eventually, meaning that person, their friends and family, will never like you because they know someone that has already had you. NEVER CONFESS YOUR LOVE as much as you may want to DO NOT you will get clowned because of it so dont even bother.
2.3 DO NOT TELL PEOPLE THE REAL YOU
If you dont believe in god, are gay, lesbian, have different political ideas, DO NOT SHARE THIS anything you say will be used against you, you can either lie and say you are on there side or you can say you dont really care, but never over share or talk to much, the more you say the higher chance you will be hated for just having a different fucking opinion.
2.4 MONEY AND FAMILY
If your rich dont tell anyone, they will want to "hangout" at your house, and use you, if any family members are in your school, use them as either protection if anyone wants to fight, a back up if you've got no friends, etc the list goes on.
Well, thats all this was kind of rushed, i think you can tell where i got bored of typing because i just wanted to get done, anyways this is my first big forum let me know what to change layout, sudies to add, photos, different text colors, but yeah thats it if you read all of my rant, thanks hope something helped.
