How to tell between large nose and being recessed?

I’ve honestly been thinking about this for a long time, I’ve been wanting a rhinoplasty for the past 3-4 years but about the past year or two I’ve been really thinking about if more forward growth would be more beneficial for my overall face so what is really the difference and how can I tell? Sorry if this a little bit of a stupid question

the difference is rhinoplasty makes the nose smaller/changes its shape while forward growth makes the rest of your face more projected so the nose looks more balanced and you can usually tell which one you need more by whether your nose still looks “too big” when you imagine a stronger jaw/midface
