Societal conditioning causes men to prefer and want to be seen with smaller women, literally most media is designed to depict thinner women with small frames as attractive even if they're tall but short is ideal. It's socially ingrained for petite women to have more status and other women even call them pick mes because of intrasexual competition if they acknowledge they have this quality.


Also less testosterone overall means a smaller body and women have some of it even if they're healthy but more female hormones means you'll naturally become smaller since they offset those.

Also being small is hard to achieve in any society with food abundance so it's extremely sought after as it's a sign of focus and discipline, I do trust the media because in the west and any firstworld country thinness always eventually comes back as the peak of desirability and is the most likely to get you a mate and better reputation.
