Ngl there isn’t many timelines it’s just that the 1997 anime covers only the second arc of the story (it’s amazing) and then the movies do the same for some reason and the 2016 anime ruins everything by the studio being low budget and shit. So I’d just read Berserk tbh. That way you can also see the beautiful manga art it has
